HELLOOOOO I made it to Monterrey! all is well! Here is a picture with all of us who traveled together and my mission president and his wife! we haven't really done anything but studied but they wanted us to let you know we made it safe! P day is Monday! tell everyone i love them!

This is crazy, I cant believe that its so close already to going to the field. I leave at 3:30 in the morning to go get on a plane to Monterrey so not too excited to be awake at that time but i will be so excited and full of emotion so I am ready for it! It has astonished me how much improvement I have had in the last couple days. My understanding has improved a lot more and so i dont think i will completely fail in the field haha just kidding it will be so amazing!! 
I tried to write down a couple things during the week to talk about in this email. The first is that Mordisko ice cream sandwiches are better then the ones in America so if they have those in America i suggest getting some! 
I absolutely loved conference and found so much inspiration in all the talks! My favorite conference so far! When the Motab sang Come Thou Fount i almost cried because of how good it sounded. I love that song! Another thing i learned is that if you look for the bad in life, then you will find it. There is always negativity so dont go looking for it when there is a lot more positivity to search for in life! Life is great! Enjoy it! One funny thing was we were at breakfast and one of the latino elders realized his tie brand was Donald Trump, we all laughed about that one! Another great thing from conference was Jeffrey R Holland said that one of the great things about this gospel is that we get credit for trying! in life a lot of things dont always work out and you fail a test or are let go from a job even if you tried your best. The great thing in the gospel is if you try your best each week and apply the Atonement in your life then you will receive so many blessings and credit for trying! I go to the temple today at noon so thats why i am emailing so early! It is a little frustrating because we also need to pack and they sad to pack and weigh your luggage on P day but we cant exactly do that haha but its fine my bags are all light and no way i would miss an opportunity to go to the Mexico Temple! I love you all and hope all of you have the best week!! Next email will hopefully be a good one of my first experiences in my mission!!

This week has gone great i still love it here. also still feel i don't speak spanish but heyyyy its okay!!! Crazy fun week and so awesome though. Yesterday the elders in my district gave my teacher Hermano Ortiz a blessing and that was so awesome!! He is my favorite teacher here and helps all of us whenever we need it!! 

A couple cool things that happened or crazy things was we were sitting in class and all of a sudden i hear this loud buzzing above my head! i look up and a huge black something was flying towards me! i got out of my chair so fast and ran across the room!! the teacher asked what happened and we told her there was a huge bug and i said it was directimente arriba de mi cabeza. hahahah that means directly over my head. Also in joseph smiths first vision! that we have to memorize so everyone thought that was pretty funny. 

also we got new elders in our apartment! one of them is serving in salt lake city west, which i think i live in that mission not really sure. Maybe someone can tell me if i do or not so i can let him know!! We teach other members in our district and they are portraying roles of an investigator that they know!! Its so awesome and helps a lot!! my last lesson was really good and felt the spirit so much just have to work on speaking spanish for all of it! hahah So pumped for conference tomorrow and to hear all the talks!!! Also thank you mom and dad for the package !!! Loved IT!!!  love you all!! the church is true!!!

This week went really good!! at least all that i remember the beginning of the week is just a blur but im pretty sure that it went well!!! hahah a few great  things i experienced was TRC. This time we switched companions so i taught with elder jensen and it went really well! me and him are probably at the same level of spanish and our understanding isn't the best so one of the volunteers had to repeat her question around 8 times for us to understand what she was saying but thats okay!! we got good feedback on it! 

Our Latino roommates left which was pretty sad they were a lot of fun!! Elder garcia and Elder Barrera were their names. Elder barrera spoke little english but he was awesome! Elder Garcia lived in Arizona so his English is perfect! Before they left i gave elder Barrera a U.S dollar and wrote my name on it and gave it to him and told him to remember the white kid! hahah im not sure if he understood me or not but thats okay he said thanks and im sure he enjoyed it! Another funny thing about elder Barrera is i got a package of krispy kremes form my parents (Thank you so much by the way it made my week and i loved them!!!) I gave elder barrera one and he had never eaten a Krispy Kreme donut before and so he was almost in tears from being so happy because it was the best thing he ever tasted!! he kept saying (I Love I Love krispy kreme) hahah that was just so awesome!! 
The language is going alright i definitely feel like all the words i hear i recognize and that I've heard them before but i cant always connect it with the meaning! Its going okay though! My companion is also going to Monterrey east so we have that in common! The weather has been mostly just warm. Its a little cold in the morning but during the day its warm. We had a couple weird days where it was just cold all day which was weird but other then that its been mostly warm! Everyday at gym we all usually play basketball or volleyball. Mostly Volleyball though since that is easier for everyone to play. All in all its been a great Four weeks and im loving it!
